Music, New Orleans, and the Creative Process

Treme continues to be a revelation about New Orleans, not simply about the spirit of the place, how it rose Phoenix-like out of the waste of Katrina, and all the other dismal disasters it has encountered, yet also about how music is created, about the struggle to make it as an artist and a musician. This article  from Salon (click) reveals how even the food of New Orleans is connected to its creativity and exemplifies its qualities. The series literally makes me want to live in New Orleans again.
