On this delightful morning, what better way to worship on a Sunday than to listen to piano sonatas. As Israel goes to war, as people all over the planet are dying from war and climate disasters, there seems to me to be nothing to do but enjoy the beauty of music, of autumn air, and the recall of a lovely day, yesterday, strolling through the towering trees of Fernbank Forest for a mile or two of breezes in the trees, an occasional woodpecker, and sublime tranquility.
Beyond our porch the camellia is in full fall bloom. its pink blossoms soaking up the sun and dancing in the cool breezes. Darryl promises a quiche. Druid Hills provides an oasis for us. Here are a few photographs from Fernbank I took a few weeks ago.
